Spring is Here

I love Spring. It's my favorite season but not for the reasons you might think. It's not because of the warmer weather/sunshine or the start of baseball (go Cubs!). It's my favorite season because it is when everything starts waking up and coming out after long winter months. This is probably a by-product of living in Chicago and suffering through the seasons that never seem to be the same year after year. But, I just love this time of year when things start turning green again, flowers poke some colors from the ground, and farmer's markets re-open with the freshest ingredients.

It shouldn't be a surprise that my first blog coincides with Spring. As I "wake up" from winter and my little garden starts to take shape, I'm focusing on my love of food/cooking more this year and sharing my journey along the way. Excited to get started!
